Black Friday labels on 10 retailers in 8 markets as Amazon Germany starts early

On 3 November, 10 retailers in 8 European markets showed a Black Friday label on their own sites, two more than yesterday. In the press, Amazon Germany starts its pre-Black Friday deals today.

Europe: labels spread, unevenly

The count of retailers with a Black Friday label rose from 8 on 2 November to 10 today, with new labels in Italy and Sweden. It is not a straight climb: on 1 November we saw 13 retailers in 10 markets. The deepest discount under a Black Friday label today was up to 46%.

Poland: Black Weeks under way

Polish retailers are running Black Weeks rather than a single day. According to Wiadomości Handlowe, Biedronka Home, the grocery group's online shop, has discounted more than 1,000 products by up to 50%.

Early starts, as announced

The early start is now a European pattern, not only a French one. Amazon Germany opens pre-Black Friday deals from today, according to delamar.de. In France, Social Mag reports that Boulanger began its promotions on 30 October. In the United Kingdom, Argos has an early sale and Very a Black Friday Price Promise, according to The Sun and Retail Systems. What's next

Singles Day on 11 November comes first. In Italy, GizChina.it reports that AliExpress is bringing back daily PayPal discounts for the event. Black Friday follows on 27 November.
